How buying on OVE works
- Bid or buy now: many listings can be bought outright. Others take bids.
- Make an offer: since 2011, OVE has let buyers propose a price on buy-now units when the seller allows offers.
- Check whose rules apply: because OVE includes independent auctions, confirm the selling auction's arbitration, fees and pickup terms before you buy. See How does auction arbitration work?
- Price it first: use MMR and local retail comparables. See Manheim MMR explained.
Who can use it
OVE is for licensed dealers. You'll need a dealer license and a Manheim account, usually set up through AuctionACCESS. See Can you buy from Manheim if you're not a dealer?
