As of August 2026: ADESA is one of the largest wholesale vehicle auction networks in North America, owned by Carvana (NYSE: CVNA), which acquired ADESA's U.S. auction business from KAR Global in May 2022. Like most major dealer-only auctions, access runs through AuctionACCESS — the same credentialing system you'd already use for Manheim and other platforms, so if you're already AuctionACCESS-registered, you're most of the way to ADESA access already.

How to Get Registered

  1. Sign up for an AuctionACCESS membership if you don't already have one, and get your AuctionACCESS number (referred to as the "100 million" number in ADESA's own registration materials)
  2. Register online at ADESA.com using that AuctionACCESS number
  3. Confirm via email — once ADESA verifies your information, you'll get a confirmation email to set your username and password

First time visiting a physical ADESA location? Go to the Dealer Registration counter on your first visit to complete any additional paperwork — requirements vary by state, so don't assume your online registration alone covers everything needed for in-person or live-online bidding at every location.

Need help with registration? ADESA runs a dedicated dealer registration line: 888-526-7326, or email DealerReg@adesa.com.

How to Log In

Once registered, log in directly at ADESA.com. Note that ADESA has been transitioning to a newer digital auction platform — if you're redirected to a new login experience, that's expected, not an error.

Who Owns ADESA?

ADESA's U.S. physical auctions and the ADESA.com U.S. marketplace are owned by Carvana (NYSE: CVNA), which completed its acquisition from KAR Global in May 2022. The former parent KAR Auction Services renamed itself OPENLANE, Inc. (NYSE: OPLN) and retained ADESA Canada and the digital marketplaces OPENLANE, BacklotCars, and CARWAVE, along with TradeRev (Canada) and Automotive Finance Corp.

What ADESA's Platform Actually Includes

ADESA runs several distinct products worth knowing the names of, since you'll see them referenced separately:

A distinctive feature worth knowing: ADESA locations work with Automotive Finance Corp (AFC), one of the largest floorplan financing providers for independent dealers. AFC was part of the former KAR Global family and remains widely used at ADESA sales — a real, integrated financing option if you're scaling purchase volume and need flooring rather than paying cash for every unit. Confirm current terms directly with AFC.

ADESA in California

ADESA maintains auction locations in California, including a facility in Jurupa Valley (Riverside County) — worth knowing if you're sourcing in the Inland Empire alongside the Manheim Riverside and Fontana locations covered elsewhere in this guide. Confirm current California facility details and sale schedules directly at ADESA.com before planning a visit, since locations and schedules are subject to change.
